Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Once a Day is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. When users register, they must confirm they are 13 years of age or older. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will:

• Delete the account and associated data immediately
• Remove all content created by the child
• Notify the parent or guardian if contact information is available

• Improve our services

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your answers and comments are visible to other app users with your chosen nickname.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3
• Secure Storage: Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can access user data
• Authentication: Secure authentication via email magic links or OAuth providers
• Row-Level Security: Database policies ensure users can only access their own data

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

Active Accounts: Your data is retained while your account is active.

Account Deletion: When you delete your account:

• Your profile information (email, nickname, avatar) is deleted immediately
• Your answers, comments, and reactions are permanently deleted
• AI coach data and weekly summaries are deleted
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone

Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 2 years may be deleted after notice.

Backup Retention: Backups containing your data are retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery purposes.

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications
